It’s not that I don’t appreciate where I am, or that I’m not trusting the process… it’s just part of how many athletes function to push themselves to be better. Do I look back at my meet prep & think I’ve done well? Sure. I also think there were things I could have done better

But the reason the answer is “no” is because weightlifters are like any other athlete… always striving for more and wanting to be better. Will I ever truly be ready for a comp? Maybe… but I’ll always want to work harder and be better.

It’s a funny thing to tell people that I compete in Olympic style weightlifting… I still have a hard time explaining exactly what I do and why I do it yet I’ve been doing this for a better part of a decade now
