About 17 years ago, I was riding my bike down a country road with my dad and heard meowing. I told dad there was a kitten somewhere but he was unenthused and left (😂).
I walked through the forest looking up for a cat in a tree when, at my feet, the skinniest orange cat appeared.

Went with my partner upstate and the AirBnB host's cat took us for a guided hike along the Appalachian trail. Apparently this is what she does with every guest. She would complain when we took a wrong turn off the trail and knew the way back. Amazing cat. Would apocalypse with.
