gambling has been as old as human kind,from your ape forefathers betting on fighters during local tournaments down to the Roman gladiators in the bloodiest gladiator battles down to the jousting tournaments in places we now know as England.
It can be argued that throughout history the effects of gambling has been felt,from Spartan revolutions to the stock market crashes of 2008,it has always been in the background.
some of you entered crypto because of gambling and you just don't know it,you want the next 100x either by shorting the project you have fud on(Union) or betting on the next big dog memecoin(hodling doge since 2021).
Now wtf are prediction markets and why did I use 2 paragraphs to explain gambling?
Prediction markets is simply just gambling but here instead of the bookmakers,you become the bookmaker due to you being early to a gamble and the amount of shares you hold
How does this still work?
Lets say you bet that Eth hits 100k before months end and you buy 40k worth of shares at 5cents each.not only have you made a prediction,but now you have a crazy amount of shares that also gets to increase your winnings especially if people believe and enter the same prediction as you (remeber you only win if your prediction is correct)
Now what does this mean for CT?
We have seen people copy trade wallets and make a lot of money doing so.
Imagine you have access to inside information on trumps tariffs?what would be smarter than placing a bet on a prediction market?
With time higher prediction rates ,might lead to more conviction and before you know it.a whole government can make a decision due to a prediction market prediction(FUTARCHY)
Eg @nayibbukele buying more BTC due to a law made on tariffs that increases bitcoin dumping,like we saw some days back.
We saw it with shorts on bitcoin and Eth on the last crypto black swan day and the nobel prize predictions that was seen on polymarket 12 hours before time.
Prediction markets are the next Meta,it's just a matter of how early you are
Crazy thing is also how many categories of stuff you can bet on from sports to tweet views to public appearances.just your conviction and a bit of luck can make you the next crypto millionaire
