@jburnmurdoch Sorry but this last debt chart without explanation simply doesn’t make any sense. The figures you pull also don’t jive with latest publicly available data. A simple Google search shows US debt is 1.5-2x higher than your numbers.

Oh, and a bonus chart that I think will fry a lot of people’s brains and break a lot of narratives: For all the talk of six figure costs of college in the States, here’s how much debt graduates leave university with in the UK and US vs other countries

NEW: we need to talk about UK graduate wages, and the idea that Britain sends too many people to university. American readers should stick around for the UK/US comparisons 👀 Let’s start with this: the UK graduate wage premium has fallen substantially over the last 25 years

If you're trying to attract or retain devs, it's super clear what they want: Holiday and remote working. Career growth has dropped off, seemingly because the contraction is dampening internal growth opportunities.

Mercado Libre’s fintech unit is surging despite this year’s chop. 💸 Not only are the indicators moving in the right direction, but the fintech has been increasing the automation of its underwriting function. It’s still a long way off from competing with the consumer lending of Nubank in places like Mexico, but sometimes, slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

That's huge progress, but there's still a significant gap to the men. In 2022, FIFA paid out $440mn to the men -- nearly triple what the women will get. The Men's Champion took home $38mn. That's more than all of the Women's teams that made it out of the group stage combined.
