It's always been Roch for the White Sox. Never heard one scout or baseball person I spoke to deviate. Only media because they tired of two years of covering Roch being the only choice.
Emerson has a great ceiling but plenty of questions. Lackey hasn't shown sustained success.

@KFidds We’ve definitely crossed paths. I played at Liberty when Kris was at Bonanza. I was class of 11. Then after college and my attempts at any pro ball ended lol I coached at Del Sol from 18-22 stopped coaching baseball once my daughters were born.

@KFidds I wanted more from Roch this season, his big 10 play didn’t impress me. Does that mean he won’t be a stud, no, but in the MLB draft there’s no guarantees. I’d have rather taking my chances on Lackey. And No all of my coaching came out here in Vegas.

@KFidds That’s not me saying Rich isn’t a stud or that he might not still become great. In terms of talent, and Sox organizational need, and lack of greatness positionally in baseball. Give me Lackey all day and night. I was only Lackey well before it became a media thing.

@KFidds Couldn’t disagree more, and it has nothing to do with media coverage. Has everything to do with how long I played and coached this game and everything I’ve seen with my own eyes. Lackey swing is better, plate discipline, higher EV, more speed, and plays the most premium position.
