@_starridge its unfortunately still a double meaning- "Wood can be used to stoke the fire which melts the girl's icy heart. But, it's said that the greatest fuel of all is friendship" might be in reference to susie in chapter one softening up towards kris and ralsei thanks to lancer

@_starridge ive got my spamton cant stand jevil because jevil is on gasters side(found freedom-sorta) and gaster opposes mike who’s (in my eyes) spamtons benefactor (the whole at your service smiley thing etc)(gaster punished him for his connection, showed him freedom) anywayAMEN MAN #TRUST

friend is mike and gaster is spamton and jevil's benefactor. friend is explicitly tied to gaster. friend is just some way for gaster to interface directly with the world of deltarune . his humble servant #trust

@_starridge @Key13Kingdom I just think your first reply invited an actual back and forth by being a passive insult

@YourHostKaz @Key13Kingdom hey man you dont have to agree with me, i disagree and think it's a clever double meaning, especially since the ambiguity around whether the girl in the prophecy is susie or noelle has been heavily discussed since ch4 came out. but ! to each their own man

@_starridge @Key13Kingdom If that is what was meant (which I doubt) then I think it was poorly phrased and thought out

@YourHostKaz @Key13Kingdom oh nonono, double meaning as in the "cruel" interpretation is supposed to call back to susie, the "ice" interpretation is supposed to tie back to noelle

@_starridge @Key13Kingdom it would make sense if both meanings of the phrase applied to noelle yes

@YourHostKaz noelle is so repeatedly associated with ice i dont see how its a bad double meaning haha but! hey everyone is entitled to their own interpretations !

@YourHostKaz @Key13Kingdom the mantle game repeatedly associates ice specifically with noelle-- the ice metaphor is an intentional callback. there are other phrases they could have used, but very intentionally chose to make that reference !

@Key13Kingdom @YourHostKaz why would they very specifically use the phrase "melts the girl's icy heart" in reference to the mantle game that directly and repeatedly associates noelle with ice if not to call to mind a double meaning???

@_starridge what would this even mean in that context? noelle is not known for being "icy" lmao

i think, like LOVE/Love in the prophecy, it's a double meaning on purpose. "melt the girl's icy heart" as literal ice, and as susie's mean nature in ch1. like. oh my god
