@HoopsFanUK @DaveAnt122141 Nothing as well organised as the Lions supporters group. We have a fan WhatsApp group - a more "official" supporters group was discussed a while ago, but no one pushed forward with it.
English

@DaveAnt122141 @_stoob I think London leave the supporters group to do the organising, most were in London merch and had the scarves. They looked uniform but a London final T-shirt would have been great.
Does Manchester have a supporters group?
English

@DaveAnt122141 @HoopsFanUK That's interesting - because the Hatters fans all had pink t-shirts too. So only London didn't do anything?
English

@Prophesy_Scout This is true - the energy and support they gave their team was amazing 👏👏
English

@HoopsFanUK This is a great point - I have no idea what the teams were told, either by the refs or their management, but walking the arena and acknowledging the Manchester crowd at the end would have been a great moment to galvanise that bond. As it was most of us left when the team did.

@NLootin Explaining the rules of killer? 👍
Couldn't get down today, but looked fun - I was coaching a game (local league playoff semi-final today).
Really looking forward to the atmosphere in the AO tomorrow though ⚡⚡⚡

Crazy that I get to do things like this and call it work. Thanks to everyone that came through!

@CourtVisionUK1 Yes - bought our tickets before Christmas and luckily both Manchester teams decided to join us 😆

London are the team to beat. Manchester are one of the few teams able to live with them. The SLB Cup Final is a glimpse of where the league wants to go. courtvision.co.uk/2026/03/20/slb…

@NLootin @HoopsFanUK Dreaming big and then working hard to achieve it - great combination 🙌

3 years ago I was sat in the stands watching GB. I’d never hosted a game, I’d never picked up a mic. I was asked a few months later to host a charity game and had no idea I was starting my future. I then wrote a list of 5 things to accomplish in 5 years. Yesterday I got to tick off item number 4. I’m only on year 3.
I’m blessed to have people notice my ability, passion and drive and give me a chance on the biggest stage to perform. Listen, learn and execute. 3 words that encompass each and every performance.
Number 5 will happen, and then the next set of goals will be set.
Thanks to @froncdigital for capturing this milestone 📸

@HoopsFanUK @DaveAnt122141 I had the same reaction when I read the update.

The one reassuring thing in this article is that Sam Neter was present - hopefully some of the ideas and frustrations he has shared can get brought to life this time

@NLootin It was an awesome evening - the game, the crowd, the effort behind the scenes and of course yourself and the crew on the mics / music . Brilliant night out on a Tuesday 🙌

THAT WAS WILD!
One of the best atmospheres I’ve ever seen, not just in MCR. Thank you for all your energy MCR fans!

@CourtVisionUK1 It definitely is - and I'm really enjoying the whole series of articles. It's interesting to see disparity between the team of boys / girls team at NL level. MCR Giants have only just started their girls programme this year, hopefully a small indicator that things are changing
English

@_stoob Totally agree that it's a much bigger topic than covered in this article! But hoped this was at least an interesting angle to take as a starting point 😀

The Youth Pathway series looks at national scale in junior basketball. A club nearby is one thing, but a club that can support players as they get older is another. courtvision.co.uk/2026/03/10/map…
English

@CourtVisionUK1 Not that I think this is wrong as such, we need to be looking at how we identify & produce the best competition at the top level, but the lack of an extensive lower league structure beneath could leave many talented (or late developers) without a top tier place to play.
English

@CourtVisionUK1 An interesting view of the picture at national league level.
A slightly different angle would be participation numbers at the older age groups too - some elite clubs act as a pyramid, filtering mass participation at younger ages to much smaller numbers in their elite older teams.
English

Completely agree with this - get out and support you local team 🙌
BigMac@BigMac1892_
Don’t get how there’s people in the UK that claim to be massive fans of basketball but don’t follow their local professional team. Now’s a great time to get involved it’s getting bigger and better but tickets are still reasonably priced for good quality exciting basketball

@Simon_Ingari I was once interviewed for a vacant management position, which I didn't get. I was then asked to help them interview other candidates for the role though.....
English

Boss: Hey, do you have a second?
Employee: Yeah.
Boss: I have some good news. Your acting assignment as acting manager is finally coming to an end.
Employee: So is the good news that I got the position permanently now?
Boss: Oh no, I thought you got the email that said we were going in a different direction. We did hire somebody externally, and I am hoping that you wouldn't mind helping train her.
Employee: So you didn't hire me for the position that I've been acting in for nine months — you hired someone else externally — and now you want me to train them? No, I'm not doing that.
Boss: Oh, it's nothing against you. Number one, you're so good at your current role, and not only that, but she just has a little bit more experience, and it was just a better fit overall.
Employee: So being good at my current role is hindering my growth in the company?
Boss: No.
Employee: I'm not going to be training someone. If I'm not qualified for the position, then I'm not qualified to teach someone who's more qualified than me. I hope that makes sense.
Boss: OK.
Employee: (Starts drafting resignation email.)
