An amazing announcement! We are so amazed that out of hundreds of entries we have been announced as the winners of the 'Voice of Jigsaw' singing competition!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that your entry has been selected as the winner of our competition and your school will become the new Voice of Jigsaw!

Your pupils' performance of, "This Is My Show" truly stood out for its creative and enthusiastic approach, demonstrating the creative, joyful approach we were looking for. So...

The standard of the hundreds entries was exceptionally high, and we were impressed by how all participating schools brought such enthusiasm and dedication to the competition.

We thought you would love to read the email that Jigsaw sent us: Dear the staff and pupils of St Thomas More School, First, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for the time, dedication and enthusiasm that went into your entry.

We are so, so proud of our children's choir and we are all very excited about our prize which is being the 'voice' of Jigsaw and having a composer in school for 4 days to work with the children on rehearsing and recording a number of original songs 🙂

After lunch, children had the opportunity to build a nest in teams and test which one kept the dormouse the warmest. The day finished with each child creating something that they had seen using clay, twigs, fern & leaves. We had some very impressive creations to take home! 3/3

We explored the surrounding countryside looking for animal footprints in the snow and collected natural materials to build a nest for a dormouse. This was followed by a very muddy walk through the beautiful surroundings. 2/3

Y1 recently enjoyed a day trip to the Moorland Discovery Centre in the Peak District National Park as part of our science topic ‘seasonal change’. The children discussed the signs of winter that they see in nature & learned how this affects animals. 1/3

Y6 performed their Advent celebration of the word with a focus on the first character in the Christmas story - the Angel. Well done to all of our Y6 children for taking part, whether on or off stage. We are so proud of you!
