Short story:: When i was about to get married back then, I and my husband had a discussion about how many kids we were going to have. I remembered my husband said one or two is okay for him, I looked at him with one kind of eye. "Is this man okay like this"😂 Fast forward, na me de look my husband with one kind of eye now🤣🤣🤣 After giving birth to my first child years back, my brain reset back to reality. Motherhood is not easy, God bless all mothers and those who have more than 5 children upward. Please take care of your mother. ✌️

They say “just show up every day” on X ,but nobody talks about how draining it can be. How you post and get zero engagement. No likes, no replies, no reposts. You’ll feel like giving up. But that’s part of it. You keep showing up anyway until one tweet finally hits. ✌️

I feel so emotional writing this. As a mother, Nobody really prepares women for postpartum depression. Nobody told me how it would feel like , after I gave birth. They celebrate the arrival of the baby, bring gifts, and smile for pictures, but nobody sees the mother slowly fading behind the scenes. I remember lying down beside my baby and wondering, “Why don’t I feel what I’m supposed to feel?” I was tired in a way sleep couldn’t fix. My body hurt, my mind was loud, and my heart felt so far away from everything. And the worst part? I couldn’t explain it. How do you tell people you prayed for this child, but you’re struggling just to feel okay? You look at your child and instead of joy, there’s confusion, emptiness, and even guilt for not feeling what everyone said you should feel. You don’t want to be touched. You don’t want to talk. You don’t even recognize yourself anymore. People thought I was just being dramatic. But inside, I was fighting to stay present, fighting the guilt, fighting for myself. Writing this is so emotional for even though I overcame it 😢 😪 If you’re a man reading this, please understand it’s deeper than “mood swings.” Sometimes, she’s drowning quietly right in front of you. I want every mother going through this to know that: You are not a bad mother. You are not broken. You are healing. It may not feel like it now, but the fog does lift. One day, you’ll look at your child and feel something warm and real again. And you’ll realize you survived one of the hardest, most silent battles of your life. I did. And I’m still here. ❤️
