@Martynw34 Roddick gets his flowers but not enough. Wish he had converted Wimbledon ‘09 so that the normie perspective could change a bit. I imagine Meddy will get the same treatment. It’s hard to be a legend amongst goats

Just watched 2006 US Open final with Federer & Roddick, level was really high, don't be fooled by this narrative that Federer was beating not very good players back then {mainly Djokovic fans} , watch for yourself , Roddick was excellent , Roger was sublime #tennis

The Athletic did a study in 2023 plotting avg match time at the Slams.
Matches have gotten longer, indisputably.
Note, shot clock was implemented partially in 2018, and fully in 2019. Certainly didn't help.

@KyleJamesOlson Yeah, which means he knows well the impact it had on RS2. He has an entire history with the game and understands uniquely what OSRS is and what makes it special. Do you think hes just been playing some 12 year long-game to do the exact same thing?

You’d be rolling the dice on CVC placing in a new CEO that may bend to their will more. You’d be much more at risk of pricing model changes, microtransations, etc with someone new.

There’s a bunch of echo chamber nonsense on the 2007scape subreddit right now about Mod Pips. Realize that this dude has been CEO for 9 years and we still don’t have MTX in OSRS. Both him and the OSRS team have been the buffer keeping us clear of that, despite ownership pressure.
