1521–1832 Europeans and ‘Australia’ 1521 Portuguese theory Some historians speculate that Christopher de Mendonça and a fleet of caravels sailed and mapped the east coast around 1521–1524 by order of King Manuel I. The Dieppe maps of the 1540s, written in French with Portuguese place names, note ‘Java la Grande’ – a great island south of Indonesia with a coastline matching Australia’s east coast. 1606 The first recorded European landfall on the Australian continent was on 26 February 1606. Dutchman Willem Janszoon of the Dutch East India Company landed at the Pennefather River, Cape York. He charted 320 km of coastline over four months and turned back after 9 of his crew of 20 were killed by the Indigenous people. Janszoon did not name the continent as he believed it was part of New Guinea. 1616 Dutchman Dirk Hartog landed at Cape Inscription on the northern tip of what is now known as Dirk Hartog Island on 25 October 1616. To mark the visit, Hartog’s crew nailed a flattened pewter plate (the Hartog Plate) to a post in a rock cleft. It recorded the ship’s name, the date, and the names of key officers. He named the part of Australia he encountered Eendrachtsland (‘Land of Unity’). He did not claim it for Holland, and the Dutch showed little interest in colonising the continent as it appeared barren and offered no obvious trade opportunities. 1642 On 24 November 1642, Dutchman Abel Tasman discovered the north coast of Tasmania and named it Van Diemen’s Land after Anthony van Diemen, the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. He planted a flag at Blackman Bay around 1–3 December 1642 and claimed it for the Dutch. 1644 In June–July, Tasman charted the Gulf of Carpentaria. He named the continent ‘New Holland’, which remained the common European name for nearly 200 years. 1688 The first recorded landing of an Englishman was William Dampier on 4 January 1688 near present-day Broome. He did not claim it for England as he was not on an official English government or naval expedition. 1770 On 29 April, Captain James Cook landed at Botany Bay and claimed the east coast of New Holland as ‘New South Wales’ for the British Crown. 1788 On 18 January, Captain Arthur Phillip landed at Botany Bay. The Colony of New South Wales was proclaimed on 7 February 1788 and Captain Arthur Phillip became Governor. Everything west of the 135th meridian remained New Holland. 1794 Naturalists George Shaw and James Smith used ‘Australia’ as the name for the entire continent. The first known printed application was in their book Zoology of New Holland. ‘Australia’ is derived from the Latin Australis – ‘Southern’. 1804 Matthew Flinders strongly advocated for the continent to be called ‘Australia’. 1817 Governor Lachlan Macquarie recommended the name to the British Colonial Office. 1824 The year the British Admiralty first officially used and adopted the name Australia for the continent. 1825 The Colony of New South Wales was extended to the 129th meridian – the current Western Australian border with South Australia and the Northern Territory. 1828 The name ‘Australia’ first appeared in British legislation. 1829 On 18 June, the Swan River Colony was established. 1832 On 6 February, the Colony of Western Australia was established.   This ended the official use of the name “New Holland” for Western Australia.   The entire continent became known as ‘Australia’.

The era of sports-ball worship is coming to an end. Weak men like you tell themselves that because a man from Barundi can kick a ball into a net, or a Sudanese man running quickly is justification for the disgusting levels of violent crime being experienced in every white country. You do not have the cognitive ability to understand per capita. You are on the wrong side of history, and future generations will condemn those who are prepared to sacrifice their women and girls for the multiculturalism lie. Enjoy the circus while it lasts. Prior to the internet very few people had access to crime statistics. We placed our trust in a supposedly democratic system of governance. With access to information we now know the level of evil that is being perpetrated on whites. You cannot vote your way out of a system that for decades has introduced policies that has allowed our women and girls to be exposed to increasing rates of SA. And it does not matter which side of politics, they all seem unable or unwilling to address the racial aspect of what makes a society. The political and media class see the over representation of racial groups as the perpetrators of crime, and they look away. While they tell you that diversity is a strength. They are lying, and we know that they are lying. And they know that we know. Yet they keep lying. An honourable society protects its most vulnerable. Chief Justice Stephen Gageler will be the sole judge deciding on today’s immediate application for an interim injunction. He is the second most Liberal Chief Justice in the last 25 years just behind Michael Kirby. He was Appointed by the first ever female Governor General Quentin Bryce as Justice of the High Court 2012. He was Appointed on the advice of Australia’s first female Prime Minister Julia Gillard. He became Chief Justice of the High Court in 2023. The first case he decided on, 2 days after his appointment in 2023 was the NZTQ V Minister for Immigration that declared that indefinite detention for illegal immigrants with criminal records was unlawful. The result of that decision: 358 detainees have now been released. Including:   15 murderers or attempted murderers.   98 sex offenders including pedophiles.   A Rohinga man who pleaded guilty of sexual intercourse with a 10 year old child is now walking amongst us.   An Iraqi man Mohammad Bayati who sexually assaulted a 3 year old girl is now walking amongst us.   A Kurdish man who severely sexually abused a 13 year old ward of the state is now walking amongst us. In 2012 as Federal Solicitor General he defended the Gillard Governments Tobacco Plain packaging laws.   In 2014 he voted in favour of expanding the power of Unions.   In 2019 he voted to protect the laws upholding abortion clinic safe access zones.   Gageler will also be the Chief Judge presiding over the Full bench of the High Court when the constitutional challenge to the anti-hate laws goes to a full trial.
