It's thank a resident day. I remember on my last 24-hour call of residency in the ICU, an attending thanked me, and I was so moved/tired that I cried. So I try to say thank you more than that. Grateful all days for @TheBCRP and @GLFHC residents who have made me a better doctor.

UCSF/ZSFG Emergency Medicine residents have organized a program to allow patients to vote while in the ER, even those on 5150/5250 holds. The program gets the ballot to the pt's bedside, assists them in completing it (if needed) & an on-site secure ballotbox was procured Amazing

Attendings, what are you doing tomorrow to make sure residents #Vote if they haven’t yet? I am holding phones while they go to their polling station. I’ve seen programs make noon conferences a time to vote. Doctors vote less on average than the gen public. Help learners #GOTV

A non-medical friend recently asked me to describe clinic. I told her to imagine you have 20 meetings in a day, half of them new clients with urgent needs. Each requires your best self. You are late for at least 10 of them. You must prepare a report and deliverables for each one.
