But it actually makes a lot more sense when you think about it. Victor was seen at Gale’s apartment the night he was killed. That means if the police started asking questions or a sketch got released, Victor could’ve led straight back to Gus and the lab. At that point, he was a walking liability. So Gus removed the risk before it could become a problem. And at the same time, he sent a crystal-clear message to Walt and Jesse: nobody is indispensable.
