🇭🇺 @PM_ViktorOrban: We will not go to war for the Ukrainians
📍 During his stop in Hódmezővásárhely as part of his country tour, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán outlined the government’s key achievements and priorities, focusing on support for young people, national wealth, and Hungary’s position on the war in Ukraine.
🕊️ A central theme of the speech was Hungary’s stance on the war in Ukraine. The prime minister made it clear that Hungary’s priority is to avoid involvement in the conflict. We owe Ukraine nothing. We gave them what they needed. Over that we cannot support them without destroying ourselves, he said, setting firm limits on further engagement.
🚫⚔️ He reiterated that Hungary will not take part in military actions, emphasizing the risks such involvement would pose. We will not go to war for the Ukrainians. This war is not our war, PM Orbán stated, describing the conflict as a fratricidal war between two Slavic peoples. He added that Hungary’s national interest lies in maintaining peace and ensuring that Hungarian soldiers are not drawn into the war.
🏡 Addressing local residents, Prime Minister Orbán highlighted one of the government’s most significant recent measures: support for young Hungarians seeking to own homes. We have been able to launch the most affordable home loan scheme for young people in Europe with a fixed 3% loan, the prime minister said, emphasizing that Hungarian youth now have some of the easiest and cheapest access to housing on the continent.
👨👩👧👦 He framed these achievements within a broader commitment to families, stressing that demographic stability remains central to Hungary’s future. No children, no future. If there are children, there is a future, because the most important thing is family, PM Orbán stated, adding that while men take pride in their families, it is women who really keep families together.
📊 Turning to economic results, the prime minister pointed to a substantial strengthening of Hungary’s national assets over the past decade. Speaking directly to local political opponents, he said: In the shadow of war, we doubled Hungary's public assets, we have never had such high foreign exchange reserves. He also noted a significant increase in gold reserves, from 3 tonnes in 2010 to 103 tonnes today, underlining a stable and resilient economic foundation.
⚖️ Prime Minister Orbán used the occasion to contrast the government’s record with that of its critics, stressing that tangible results and long-term planning should guide political decisions. His remarks suggested that economic performance and national stability remain key pillars of the government’s message as it engages voters across the country.
👉🏼 Throughout his address, Prime Minister Orbán linked domestic policies with broader geopolitical challenges, presenting stability, economic strength, and family support as the foundations of Hungary’s future in an increasingly uncertain world.

Even though the Americans want peace, Europe’s leaders and the Ukrainians want to continue the war, said 🇭🇺 @PM_ViktorOrban at the next stop of his national tour in Miskolc.
According to the Prime Minister, this is why the stake of the next election is whether Hungary will have a government that can protect Hungary and the money of the Hungarian people.
Viktor Orbán said that today Hungary must stand its ground at the same time in the face of war, rising energy prices, and new migration pressure.
However, the government has already fended off external pressure: it preserved the country’s energy supply, protected families from even more severe consequences, and did not allow Hungary to be dragged into decisions made by others.
The Prime Minister also made it clear that the crisis in the Middle East could trigger a new wave of migration, and this was already on the agenda at this week’s EU summit in Brussels.
But Hungary has defended itself once before: we built a fence, kept migrants out, and Hungary will continue to insist that only Hungarians can decide who they want to live together with.
According to Viktor Orbán, while there are austerity measures in Western Europe, Hungary still has the strength to raise pensions, support families, and support home creation.
The reason is simple: we did not give our money to Ukraine.
This is also the stake of the next election: whether Hungary will have a government that can say no to Ukraine, Brussels, and external pressure, so that
@IanJaeger29 America should deal with Russia,, and drop hostile European countries from trade deals.

HE IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT
The Americans have woken up to the fact that they were lied to.
They were told that the UK had no choice but to surrender the Chagos Islands. This was simply not true, and now they are angry with us.
