@Royz291288 We're all feeling it now as a result of the lock downs. This crisis will probably manifest first as food price rises, then hospitality will have a bad summer (fewer people going out less & not as far). Energy prices won't stop rising and availability will be worse by Christmas.

In 1973, the Arabs turned the taps off, there was a panic, but then they switched the tap on again. This time, the Iranians have snapped the handle off and set fire to the shed. Infrastructure like this takes years to build. This isn't a crisis, its a game changer.

Gas facilities in Saudi Arabia. It’s over folks. We are heading into a major 1973-style energy crisis. There will likely be shortages and rationing. We will probably be moved to work-from-home - if you keep your job, of course. 🛢️📈

Final report for tonight. QatarGas's Pearl GTL (Gas to liquid) complex is on fire, so it is quite likely that its ASU (Air separator unit) has been destroyed. These units are extremely expensive and are manufactured in Italy by Linde and SIAD Macchine Impianti. They cost about a billion dollars at current inflation rates per unit (when the site was built $400 million) and the manufacturing time takes 3-4 years. Pearl contained 8 units. Goodnight oomfies.

In regards to that question - there are multiple different ways to be English/Scottish/Welsh which are important in different ways and should be applied in different ways. That includes ethnicity, but also culture, national identity, values and others. I think the culture/national identity side takes precedence over the ethnicity/ancestry side. British is a purely civic identity.
