get well soon manon 💛 unfortunately, ik how the internet moves. they’re gonna use this opportunity to be weird asf. so no, manon isn’t leaving katseye, manon isn’t being “lazy”, katseye isn’t disbanding. manon is prioritizing her health (as she should) so she can be the best version of herself when she’s feeling better.

@a2kcami the gap ad was special, they single-handedly saved gap, but these businesses are getting high engagement, but for the gap ad katseye had recently dropped beautiful chaos, they were literally everywhere, but now there’s no new content for the gp to engage with besides the ads

the way you can tell all these brands want a gap ad moment so they’re partnering w the kats but unbeknownst to them katseye are in a crazy hate train rn so the ads arent making any noise outside eyekontwt 😭😭 they need to come back in a few months when the gp loves katseye again

this right here. my main issue with the ads is the timing of them all, there’s so many different things factoring into the lack of “gap numbers” but hxg doesn’t care bc they’re making money & that’s all that matters to them at the end of the day. they aren’t being smart at all even w the way they’re handling katseye disco. it’s all so manufactured it gives katseye a bad look.

yea katseye is immune to flopping so they are getting attention but its not even 50% of what the gap ad did & i feel like thats what a lot of the brands expected esp state farm. sf has commercials bigger than the gap ad, they’ve been well known for their iconic ads (in the US) for decades. they spent millions to get it to play during the super bowl & even sent the girls to fallon to promote it. they definitely expected gap numbers 😭

@a2kcami They’re still getting good engagement. All of them reaching new metrics on all of their socials and probably sales. Nothing will be comparable to the GAP campaign but these collabs are still doing well.

ik state farm was confused as hell seeing the people dancing to the super bowl ad on tiktok getting dragged in their comment section for dancing to katseye 💀

i don’t think there’s anyone doing this trend based on anything but vibes. i promise you i didn’t put them here bc i thought they were brown too lol. lara is into fashion, she’s a diva, she’s charismatic, outgoing, down to earth, has siren like vocals, wears a lot of gold jewelry etc. so i put characters with similar qualities i promise it’s not that deep

jasmine is arab, chloe is egyptian, putting an indian woman “mood board” and having not only no indian chrs, but any ethnically ambiguos chrs seems weird

@BSLUMINA0T5 it means they can & will but not now. they all have things they wanna do outside of katseye but they’re gonna focus on the group only for now. solo projects will come in another couple of years.

@pyaarahope realistically it’s definitely too soon. they need at least like 2 full albums out as a group before they start releasing solo projects but i still wish we never got to listen to the demos bc i been looking forward to them for months

oh ofc & i don’t even think it’s bad if the company chooses to focus on group work only during the first 2-3 years. it makes sense they’d want to build the group as a whole before individual members start venturing out. i just wish it didn’t mean we’d have to wait years for the demos lara made to be put on streaming platforms i been listening to those crunchy audios for months 😭
