@YogiRoth Year long “seasons” that force specialization is the worst. Few, if any, recreational options outside of an expensive club: volleyball. Creating comprehensive clubs that sponsor multiple sports with distinctive seasons so kids can freely switch between sports would be ideal.

@CaptainCons Participation in any sport at the collegiate level builds transferrable life skills. Only beef with your list is that I'd put team sports above individual sports. Golf, tennis, swimming, track & field etc. are all individual sports shoehorned into a team environment in college.

what sport played at the collegiate level most translates to success in life? For me it goes: 1. Wrestling 2. Football 3. Swimming People I know who did those sports have work ethic, discipline, and drive greater than most which translates to success
