We advocate for considering immigrants' own perspectives and feelings when monitoring their lives. We tend to have a rather narrow understanding of 'integration', neglecting immigrants' own experiences and instead focusing on performance and assimilation.

Auswandern steigert das #Wohlbefinden nachhaltig. Unsere Studie zeigt, dass Deutsche insgesamt von ihren Auslandaufenthalten profitieren. Da viele von ihnen nur eine begrenzte Zeit im Ausland leben, können Auslandaufenthalte das Wohlbefinden in der deutschen Bevölkerung steigern.
