@igordownunder Similar comparison between EU and US funding. Central/Northern EU offers way more funding opportunities than the US. Additionally, EU funding is much less defense oriented, which is also nice :)

As my EU trip comes to an end, the biggest surprise this time was the enormous discrepancy in funding between EU and AUS. More than order of magnitude more in the EU and continuous multi year grants from many sources. Very envious. #AcademicChatter #academictwitter
