@Sleepezi_DMs A JP fan has also pointed out that the nebula at the beginning of the trailer is reversed compared to the one in the game. They made an interesting video about this find.

I don't think anyone heard this in the Final Fantasy VII Revelation trailer...

@aerithsclouds @klibrncriesalot It seems that this is already starting. I see people saying, I believe it's a sequel too and there are worldlines. When a couple of months ago they where retweeting posts about it being all in Cloud's head.

@SamuelDeats I really loved the rankin/bass style Toriyama characters in this game. I would be sold on a stop motion animation with other Toriyama characters & stories.

I decided to blast through Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined over the last couple weeks and just finished it! Lovely game full of charm, tugged at the heart strings a good few times. Aaand despite the 75 hour runtime, managed to finish just in time for Adventures of Elliot. 😎

@KenMastersUSA My theory is Cloud is going to explore three stages of his life Christmas Carol style. The Past with Tifa, the Present (or Cloud as a Shinra Trooper) with Zack and the Future (his Advent Children memories) with Aerith, with also a glimpse of a new future.

So, for those that don't know, Aerith is ~not~ part of the original Lifestream Sequence in OG FFVII. Sounds like that is about to change.

Tidus and Yuna knew each other for probably about a month and fell in love. Squall and Rinoa knew each other for a couple of weeks. Nobody denies these FF couples were in love just because they fell in love fast and nobody says Yuna wasn't allowed to keep loving Tidus after he disappeared.

I get it, people are busy, people consume all sorts of media these days. So it is valid to just watch a playthrough; however, it isn't the same as having played the game, IMO. I think the biggest problem with watching a game instead of playing it is that it -- _IF_ you're watching via a streamer and not an LP -- creates a vicarious experience where you aren't experiencing the story as intended, but instead, you're taking in the choices and reactions of the streamer and their chat. That can strongly influence and bias your view on a game's story and narrative, as you're experiencing it through someone else's perspective. I recall talking with someone about Xenogears, and since it's an older game they hadn't actually played it; but they had strong opinions about it's "dopey romance." After drilling down the conversation, it was because the streamer didn't like romance stories but the game had been recommended to them (I think even gifted to them) so they played it and disliked it. That colored their viewers impressions of what is probably the best RPG ever made, IMO -- but as you can see, I'm pretty biased myself, lol. Point is, some experiences really are meant to be had first-hand; and without so much influence from other people online.

My take on it is that watching a playthrough is a valid way to experience a game, but you need to recognize that your experience is fundamentally different and in most ways lesser than playing. There are simply things you can’t grasp by not playing it and that’s okay.

I unfortunately can't really speak much on the story at the moment, but what I can say is that since this is indeed the conclusion of the Remake series...how Cloud and Sephiroth will be portrayed, it will probably go beyond your expectations. So please let your imagination run wild for now!
