In 3 days at Manchester Pride, with thousands of people drinking in the streets, I didn’t see a single fight, not even a scrap. Can you imagine if that was football lads? The way this country obsesses over LGBT people, when the real threat is a crisis of toxic straight men.

Where would you like me to begin? I fractured a guy's ribs at my first pride in 2007 because he was trying to stab his boyfriend with broken glass for cheating on him, 2008, I fractured a trans fingers who had a knife on him and when being escorted out wouldn't let go of the hand rails. If you don't see the violence, it just means the bar owners and staff have done their job in keeping you safe and hiding it from plain sight.

@aa_logan @bencsmoke A rent cap would kill off the rental market as landlords will just sell up if they cant make a profit probably good news for most,but without building lots of council housing and quickly short term it would definately be a bad thing due to a lack of rental properties available

thing about landlords, as with most leaches, is they're happy to rake in the profits when times are good but deeply aggrieved to take any of the losses when things are bad. if you use housing as an investment, you should be forced to take the losses not pass it on to renters.

@bencsmoke They will sell and release the asset and put it on the open market some will still never be able to buy and will still need to rent, there will be nothing to rent because Corbyn has killed it off so what do those people do wait 20 years until they build some council houses
