RE: SPEAKERSHIP RACE I wish to draw the attention of the public to the matters regarding the Speakership race. After wide consultations and deep introspection, and to maintain harmony and clarity in my beloved party, the @NRMOnline, I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament. I am greatly indebted to H.E @KagutaMuseveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker. I am equally indebted to my family and friends for the solidarity and support they have extended to me over the last five years. I pledge my total support to the candidates who will be endorsed by the President and the Party, and Implore all colleague MPs of the 12th Parliament to do the same. I shall remain available to the service of my country as the party and the President may assign me. In the meantime, I pledge to continue cooperating with all ongoing investigations as initiated by the relevant organs of the state to get to the root of all the allegations raised. What really is @AnitahAmong sin? It can not be corruption! There should be something else.....2 houses, designer dresses, cars, philanthropy! AAA can hardly feature in the TOP 50 most corrupt Ugandans. As for me, I will STAND & PRAY for her. God be her shield & defender.

To me, speaker @AnitahAmong has been and remains the most active, hardworking, diligent, focused, trusted and dependable. She is exceptionally committed to serving her people including but not limited to the fountain of honor. Besides presiding over many legislations, she's been instrumental in resolving industrial disputes, such as the teachers' and local government workers' strike, and has delivered results through her people centered approach. AAA's leadership style has earned her trust beyond Parliament, - i describe her as a #BEACON _OF_HOPE who has redefined the role. She's also been instrumental for her efforts in mediating conflicts and facilitating a new way of doing business in parliament where opposition MPs learned to respect MPs from the ruling party ( @NRMOnline), and the facilitation of numerous defections we have witnessed of opposition MPs to the ruling NRM party - that was possible because she is respected across the board. As a female Speaker who grew from grass to grace, @AnitahAmong has broken barriers and set a new standard for leadership. Her focus on infrastructure, education, and economic empowerment has resonated with many Ugandans. I am profoundly proud of you Mama Bukedea. Levi Eyaru

Earlier today, I had the honour of hosting my esteemed counterpart from South Sudan, Rt Hon. Joseph Ngere Paciko, at my residence. We engaged in productive discussions on enhancing collaboration between our respective Parliaments and promoting regional cooperation and deeper integration within the East African Community.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my brother, Chairman @chairtoyota, for taking the time to stand with me during my swearing-in today and for his unwavering support throughout the years. Your presence truly meant a lot to me.

I wish to express my gratitude to the Almighty God for His benevolence and the gift of life. I also wish to extend my congratulations to H.E. the President on his successful inauguration as President and Commander-in-Chief of our esteemed nation. Additionally, I offer my felicitations to all Ugandans. I sincerely thank the people of Bukedea for their trust and confidence in me to serve as their representative in Parliament during the previous term, and for granting me the opportunity to serve another term. I am confident that I have fulfilled my duties diligently. Furthermore, I extend my appreciation to all security agencies for ensuring peace and stability in our country during the polls and the swearing-in!
