I will tell again Ahmedabad has just absurd food prices. I loved eating at Creme Corner in Mumbai and used to visit frequently at Oberoi Mall. Took parents yesterday think same place etc at Palladium Mall. The place is shit. Like real shit. And the prices are 2X of Mumbai. The below 2 plates and the total bill was Rs 1350. Nachos BC was Khichiya Papad. Like for FFS fear the Mexican Cartel gaandu log 😭😭 Cancelled all the orders and just left

This is a huge reminder that music biopics remain one of the few genres audiences will reliably leave the house for and spend movie at a theater. - 'Bohemian Rhapsody' made $910M. - 'Elvis' crossed $288M. - ‘Rocketman’ made $195M. - 'A Complete Unknown' pulled $140M. - Now 'Michael' has reset the ceiling. And there's plenty more coming - Sony's releasing four Sam Mendes-directed Beatles films in 2028 (one per Beatle), - Universal just announced a Snoop Dogg biopic at CinemaCon. - The #MICHAEL sequel has yet to be announced.

Pros: 1) Jaafar is unreal. He has to be seen to be believed. 2) Cinematography is very moody, especially during the Beat It segment and some of the performances. Which are exceptional (see #1). 3) The movie has a heart. A strong one. It isn't just fanservice, and it isn't all flattering. Even for Michael. Jaafar is as good in the acting as he is at the musical sequences. 4) For a 2-hour film, it moves like a bullet train. I could actually have done with a few important interconnecting scenes. Which brings me to: Cons: 1) Too many missing important characters. Poor Jermaine is basically not in the film; it really could have used him, too, as his marriage to the Motown founder's daughter is a big reason for some of the events midway through the film. But we never see any of that for some reason. Also the antagonism and rivalry between Jermaine and Michael could have prevented flaw #2: 2) They treat Joe Jackson like Darth Vader. It works dramatically, but it's a bit cartoonish and not terribly fair. 3) Too many lawyer scenes comes off as self-serving. The Estate's lawyers produced the film, and they appear in it heavily—I would have replaced those with Quincy or Jermaine scenes. Or maybe a short aside on his infatuation with Diana Ross. The movie foreshadows The Wiz, but then never shows it! Or how he met Quincy Jones!
