Israeli minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf quoted Psalms in a speech to soldiers entering Gaza, telling them they would be blessed for smashing their “enemy’s” babies against the rocks.

I just saw a Palestinian man holding the body of his 6-year-old daughter in Gaza, killed today by an Israeli strike on refugees in tents. Without Palestinians on the ground and social media I wouldn’t have seen it, because mainstream Western media pretends it’s not happening.

This child lost his leg in the Israeli strike that targeted a tent in Khan Younis today, while in the arms of his mother, who was killed in the attack. Palestinian blood continues to be shed before the eyes of the world. Gaza must not be left alone to face this pain.

@aabed_mohammed Nope, Greater Israel means the full historical Israel, which includes Judea and Samaria. The Greater Israel of Al Jazeera and other news outlets that includes most parts of the Middle East doesn’t exist and never existed.

When the UAE decided to join the Abraham Accords, it did so from a position of principle and clarity: recognizing Israel, building genuine people-to-people peace, and continuing to support the Palestinian people (not Hamas, not terrorists). The UAE is a model of rational statecraft that many countries should learn from and follow.

People say that there is a genocide ongoing in Gaza. Those people are extremely dumb.

I know your position well. But biblical rights also cover parts of Egypt and Saudi Arabia — as you surely know, and as the American ambassador reminded us. So for consistency, you should recognize those claims too. What's strange: you criticize political Islam broadly — then support a "state" built on religious scripture. You don't accept the Quran governing political life, yet you accept a "state" built on another religious book. And you're a Muslim. If you don't see these contradictions, that's your opinion. It is not mine, nor that of millions who do.

I have always called Palestinians my brothers. That has never changed, and it never will. I stand with the legitimacy of Israel because I love biblical history, and because I am a Muslim who believes in the Israelite prophets prophets whose connection to the Land of Israel was far deeper than any modern political figure. If you believe that loving Palestinians and recognizing Israel’s legitimacy are mutually exclusive, then that is your opinion. It is not mine.

@lalshareef You call Palestinians brothers, then stand with the man who holds an ICC warrant for killing tens of thousands of them, children included. These two positions need to meet each other.

@aabed_mohammed 42% of aid to innocent Gazans came from the UAE, thanks to the Abraham Accords. Not all Gazans are Hamas, Gazans are our brothers, Hamas is not.

@lalshareef No one disputes the aid. The dispute is simpler: when did humanitarian concern become a reason to normalize without Palestinian consent? You're conflating two separate arguments to avoid the harder one.

President Trump’s most recent proposal requiring expansion of the Abraham Accords as part of a negotiated settlement to the Iran conflict is simply brilliant and would result in the most significant change in the Middle East in thousands of years. With Saudi Arabia and others like Pakistan making peace with Israel, the region will know a level of stability never dreamed of before President Trump and will eventually lead to regional integration making the Middle East a powerhouse for economic opportunity and good instead of a powder keg.
