Congratulations to Joseph Ernst as he officially begins his tenure as the new superintendent of @WashoeSchools! I met with him and interim superintendent Kristen McNeill today. Superintendent Ernst has shown a dedication to the Washoe County School District for years, previously serving as the Chief Continuous Improvement Officer, in addition to his experience as an educator. Thank you to Superintendent McNeill for her service, and I have no doubt that Superintendent Ernst will continue the great work that he and Superintendent McNeill have done for the students of Washoe County. #GoPack

A new program at @AACTReno in Nevada is preparing high school students for careers in firefighting. The program hopes to prepare students for the future, while driving interest in wildland and urban firefighting careers. Read about it in Best of the #West ow.ly/iwzR50RJUpp
