@aakareda As long as Mei keeps referring to themselves with he/him, he will be a canon crossdressing man, but there are grounds to speculate that he's not (I don't remember the specific chapter, but Mei has a line that goes "I'm not being truthful to myself" which made me go 🤨).

looking at you mutsuki tooru, how is one meant to draw you and make it recognizable, it all rides on the facial features and the eyepatch alone😭 possibly the worst character to try to make fanart for unless you're a very skilled artist

vs when the character looks so generic that they'll only be recognizable if you nail the exact art style of the author

when your favourite character is easy to draw because they have so many iconic features that they'll be recognizable no matter how much you fuck up>>>>>>>>>>>
