#tujulietjattdi #heewab #SyedRazaAhmed #JasmeetKaur Yesterday’s episode is exactly why I love complex characters and layered writing. Let’s actually talk about what happened instead of reducing the entire episode to “Heer is the worst” and “Nawab is stupid.” Gulab never wanted Heer at the anniversary celebration in the first place because she wanted the function to go peacefully. Heer herself promised that she wouldn’t create any drama. Then Heer found out about Sunny and Pammy. What did she do? She DIDN’T expose him publicly. She went to confront Sunny privately. Unfortunately, Nawab had accidentally switched on her mic while trying to call her, and the entire conversation got broadcast in front of everyone. That wasn’t planned. Once everyone heard Sunny’s name, everyone surrounded Heer—Gulab, Anmol, Tayaji, everyone. The only people who tried calming the situation down were Nawab and Dilip, who kept saying it could be a misunderstanding. But Heer stayed firm. Now yes, she didn’t reveal Pammy’s name, and I agree that was wrong. She also should have spoken to Nawab first before confronting Sunny. As her husband, he deserved to know what she had found out. Those are genuine mistakes, and I don’t think anyone is denying that. But let’s also think about WHY she hesitated. She had no proof. The only thing she had was what she saw. Had she taken Pammy’s name, would anyone have believed her? Honestly, no. She would’ve had both the Brars and the Sandhus against her. Pammy would’ve done exactly what she has done before—cry, manipulate, deny everything and play the victim, just like she did when Neelu questioned her. People are conveniently forgetting this isn’t even the first time Heer has caught Sunny doing something suspicious. She has warned Anmol before. She has shown proof before. She has questioned Sunny before. Every single time, Anmol chose to ignore it. So yesterday wasn’t Heer randomly deciding to accuse someone. It came after a pattern that she herself had witnessed. And here’s what I actually loved. Even WITHOUT proof, Heer stood by what she believed. Was it risky? Absolutely. Was it impulsive? Yes. Was it morally complicated? Definitely. But that’s exactly who Heer has ALWAYS been. The moment she sees something she believes is wrong, she cannot stay quiet. She has always thrown herself under the bus if it meant standing for what she thought was right. It’s one of her biggest strengths and one of her biggest flaws. She acts first. She thinks later. That isn’t new. That’s Heer. People are acting as if her character suddenly changed yesterday. It didn’t. This has literally been her personality since Episode 1. And honestly, in today’s ITV landscape, we rarely get female leads like this. Most female leads would’ve immediately believed Sunny. They would’ve started doubting themselves. They would’ve apologised. They would’ve touched Gulab’s feet. They would’ve blamed themselves for “breaking the family.” They would’ve spent weeks proving themselves innocent. Instead, Heer stood there. Everyone questioned her. Everyone insulted her. Sunny attacked her. Gulab humiliated her. Anmol blamed her. Yet she never changed her statement. That’s not because she’s perfect. That’s because she genuinely believed she was right. And I appreciate that complexity. Now, let’s come to Nawab because I seriously don’t understand the discourse around him. People calling him stupid because he went after Heer… Did we even watch the same episode? Yesterday, Most demanded was Nawab’s junooniyat and that was present throughtout yesterdays episode.... It wasn’t loud. It was silent. Every single time someone tried getting aggressive with Heer… Every single time someone came close to hurting her… He stepped in. His expressions screamed helplessness. Usually, Nawab always has something to defend Heer with. Yesterday he had nothing. Because for the first time, he was just as clueless as everyone else. He didn’t know about Sunny. He didn’t know why Heer was making such a huge accusation. He couldn’t defend her because he himself had no answers. And THAT frustrated him. He watched Gulab insult Heer. He watched Sunny attack her. He watched Anmol cry. He watched everyone question Heer. He watched questions being raised about his own marriage—something he has always fiercely protected. But this time? He couldn’t answer them. Not because he stopped believing Heer. But because he genuinely didn’t know what had happened. That helplessness was written all over his face. And yet people expected him to just stay back? Why? She’s his wife. Going after Heer wasn’t stupidity or being a "CHUTIYA" It was growth. Old Nawab would’ve stayed inside Brar House after Gulab emotionally manipulated him. Old Nawab would’ve chosen the family first. Yesterday’s Nawab chose to go after his wife. That’s character development. Marriage doesn’t suddenly stop existing because your spouse makes a mistake. Relationships don’t work like that. Now let’s talk about Gulab. People are acting as if Gulab simply reacted emotionally. No. She played her cards brilliantly. For weeks now she’s been trying to prove that Heer destroys families. Yesterday, Heer unknowingly handed her the perfect opportunity. Gulab used that. She didn’t just attack Heer for exposing Sunny. She attacked Heer emotionally. She questioned her marriage. She repeatedly highlighted that Heer hadn’t even told Nawab before making these accusations because she KNOWS exactly where Nawab and Heer’s relationship is vulnerable. That’s classic Gulab. She manipulates emotions. She always has. Yesterday was no different. Now let’s come to the person who actually frustrated me the most. Anmol. I’m sorry. But once a cheater is always a cheater. You’ve already seen Sunny’s behaviour. You’ve seen him disrespect you. You’ve seen Heer warn you before. You’ve seen proof before. Sunny only remembers Anmol when he needs something from her—whether it’s emotional support or votes for becoming CEO. The rest of the time, he treats her terribly. Yet the woman you’re angry at is Heer? Not Sunny? Your marriage was already falling apart. Heer didn’t destroy it. She exposed what was already broken. That frustrated me far more than anything Heer did yesterday. And finally, my favourite moment of the episode. The ending. Two episodes ago, Heer was literally on her knees begging Gulab—for Nawab, for Dilip, for their marriage—because she believed THAT relationship was worth saving. Yesterday? She walked out with her head held high. She didn’t let Gulab throw her out. She left on her own terms. And she warned Gulab that one day Gulab herself would have to come and ask Heer to save this family. Whether Heer returns or not would be HER choice. That contrast was beautiful. She begged to save a relationship that deserved saving. She refused to bend for one that was already rotten because Sunny is a cheater. That is situational growth. Not inconsistency. Yes, Heer hid this from Nawab. She didn’t lie. Those are two different things. Had Nawab asked her directly, I genuinely believe she would’ve told him. She simply wasn’t ready to expose Pammy without proof. That hesitation itself tells you she wasn’t acting maliciously. And this is exactly why I’m honestly getting tired of this fandom. Not because people criticize Heer. Criticism is important. We’ve all criticized the show when the writing genuinely deserved it. We’ve called out weak tracks, inconsistent characterization, poor direction and scenes that simply didn’t work. But yesterday wasn’t one of those episodes. Yesterday’s episode was one of the most balanced we’ve had in a long time because it allowed Heer to make genuine mistakes, face the consequences, and yet remain true to the core of who she has always been. "I HAVE WATCHED THE SHOW SINCE DAY 1" 😂... and i feel Somewhere along the way, criticism has turned into constant hate. Every action of Heer’s is dissected, while Nawab is given endless benefit of the doubt. She’s expected to be perfect every single time, and the moment she isn’t, she’s labelled the worst female lead. Meanwhile, the same people compare her to female leads who silently tolerate everything, serve their husbands no matter what, accept every injustice, and somehow THAT is considered “better writing.” I’m sorry, but I don’t agree. A flawed, impulsive, morally complex woman who stands by what she believes—even when she’s wrong—is far more interesting than a female lead who simply exists to suffer quietly. If anything, yesterday made Heer feel more human than she has in a long time. And honestly, if this fandom invested even HALF the energy they spend hating Heer into appreciating genuinely good episodes—or simply watching the show on TV—we’d probably be talking about better TRPs instead of finding new reasons every single day to tear Heer apart. Constructive criticism makes a fandom healthier. Constant hate doesn’t. You don’t have to love Heer. You don’t even have to agree with her. But at least judge her with the same grace and the same standards that you judge Nawab. That’s all I ask.
