We sincerely appreciate your interest in learning more about the Aeta communities through interviews, collaborations, research, thesis studies, school projects, and academic requirements. We are truly grateful for your intention to understand and promote awareness about the Aetas. However, we respectfully ask for your understanding if we are unable to accommodate some requests. As an organization, we strictly adhere to the policies and guidelines of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP). We are bound to respect and protect the culture, traditions, beliefs, privacy, and rights of the Aeta communities we serve. Because of this, we are not authorized to disclose sensitive or important information regarding their way of life, education, traditions, beliefs, communities, identities, and health conditions. These matters are protected and handled with utmost confidentiality and cultural respect. For inquiries, research requests, or official coordination, we encourage you to directly contact the nearest NCIP Office in your area, as they are the proper authority and are more knowledgeable regarding these concerns and processes. The NCIP guidelines are strict, and we are committed to complying with them to ensure the protection, dignity, and welfare of the Aeta communities. Thank you very much for your understanding, respect, and continued support.

If you have the ability to help, we humbly ask for your support in helping them pursue their college dreams. Education is the greatest gift we can give — a path not only to lift their families out of poverty, but also their entire community.

To once again share the true spirit of Christmas, a Gift-Giving Activity was held for the 153 Aeta pupils of Kawayan Elementary School in Sitio Kawayan, Brgy. Maruglo. This activity was made possible through the generosity of the officials and employees of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas – Financial Supervision Sector (BSP-FSS). The activity was led by Mr. Arnold C. Martinez, Director of Financial Supervision Department I, together with some BSP-FSS employees, who personally visited Sitio Kawayan today to distribute Christmas gifts to the children. Each gift package contained rice, noodles, canned goods, coffee, sugar, salt, biscuits, and powdered milk. These items are a big help to the families of the pupils, especially as many continue to face daily challenges. Through this initiative, the BSP-FSS Team made sure that the families would have food to share during the Christmas season. The team also donated school supplies, books, toys, and other learning materials to support the children’s education. A simple and satisfying lunch was also prepared and shared with the entire Kawayan community, including residents from nearby sitios who joined the celebration. Sitio Kawayan is an adopted community of the BSP-FSS Team, and their support continues through various programs that help improve the lives of the said community, particularly in the areas of education and livelihood. We sincerely thank the BSP-FSS Family for their continued kindness and dedication. May the smiles of the children serve as a small return for your generosity and sacrifices, and may they always remember the true meaning of Christmas. We also extend our gratitude to the LGU Capas for their constant support and for providing 4x4 vehicles that helped make this activity possible. Merry Christmas to everyone!

"We will use it to buy food, pay for our children’s schooling, and set aside some to buy vegetable seeds." This was the common response of the Aetas who participated in Project Lawa at Binhi when asked how they would use the wages they earned from the program. Project Lawa at Binhi is a livelihood and food security program that aims to empower vulnerable communities by providing temporary employment while promoting sustainable food production through vegetable farming and fish culture, such as tilapia and catfish. Notably, the program has been adopted under the framework of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), further strengthening its approach to addressing hunger, malnutrition, and poverty at the community level. The program was implemented in the Aeta communities of Sitio Dalig, Tambo, and Bulakan, where 200 heads of families benefited and received ₱12,000.00 each in exchange for their work. The payout was held earlier today at Brgy. Sta. Juliana. This initiative became possible through our request to the Office of Senator Joel Villanueva, in partnership with the DSWD. His staff personally witnessed the true condition of the Aeta communities in Capas, which led to the immediate implementation of the project. With the support of the Regional and Municipal DSWD Offices, the program ran from November 14 to December 14, followed by today’s payout. This project is expected to be sustainable, as it will provide continuous access to nutritious food through future harvests, help address malnutrition, and create lasting livelihood opportunities for the Aeta communities of Capas.

Yesterday, December 8, 2025, we successfully held our annual Gift Giving Activity in Sitio Bunga, Brgy. Bueno, Capas, Tarlac in celebration of the Immaculate Conception and the spirit of the Christmas season. Every year, we strive to make Aeta children feel the love, joy, and true meaning of Christmas. Reaching Sitio Bunga was no easy journey. Our team walked through steep and challenging terrain, carrying gifts and food for the entire community. But every step was worth it the moment we saw the smiles of the people of Bunga. The whole community—from children to elders—joyfully joined our games and activities. Everyone received prizes that added to the excitement and happiness of the day. We also prepared a hearty lunch for everyone: unlimited adobo and fried chicken. All were able to eat to their fill, and many even had take-outs to bring home. Each child received toys and food packs, while parents were given rice and other essential goods. Sitio Bunga is one of the oldest Aeta communities in Capas—and sadly, one of the most unreached by government or NGO assistance. In fact, our group is the first NGO to reach and conduct a gift-giving activity in their area. Nearly 300 individuals were blessed with gifts, meals, and joy during this event. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission of bringing hope, happiness, and smiles to our Aeta communities. Merry Christmas to all!
