@GeorgeGammon You're very misinformed on the way that buy here pay here works. That may have been close to the model 40 years ago, but these days dealers typically outlay $5-10k in real cash for every deal they deliver. $8k cars with $2k down is the norm now. Much risk and much capital reqd

@theficouple I will charge a reasonable income based rent to my adult kids if they move back in, but I will hold that money for them to use to eventually move out. Forced savings.

Unpopular Opinion: Parents should charge their adult kids rent. If they live at home but are working a job? They should be paying some form of rent. Do you agree?

@Fiserv I thought I was pretty clear of the situation when I inquired with Clover and was intentionally misled by a salesperson that was just trying to get me to sign up. Now when I call her back she tells me she can't see if money was owed on the device.

@Fiserv Now I sold the device and the new user is being told by his rep that the device is leased and it would cost like $3000 for him to be able to set up the device. Apparently this was a leased device that was never paid for.

@Fiserv I was assured that the device could be "reprovisioned" and "reused"

@Fiserv Doing my due diligence I contacted Clover to make sure the device was able to be activated by a new user.
