Just because he regretted it doesn’t make it a “mistake.” A mistake is an unintentional error in judgment and when someone has an affair it’s because they are choosing to cheat on their partner. On top of that affair that he chose to have, he knew that Leslie had gotten pregnant and kept it hidden for 25 years. Then when Leslie came back into town, he continued to keep his affair from Nicole knowing that Leslie planned to tell her everything. He even went as far as paying her 50K to keep quiet. I didn’t try to compare Bill and Ted, you did that. In fact, I didn’t even mention Ted in my original response to you. Neither one is better than the other but it’s clear that Anita and Vernon view Bill as the son they never had and treated him that way because of his circumstances growing up with his own parents. And that may be why no matter how angry they are with him for hurting their daughter like the parents they are they can’t seem to fully turn their backs on him and I’m not gonna sit and act like I can’t see that.

Ted didn’t make a mistake, he chose to have an affair just like Bill did. The softness Anita and Vernon have for Bill has been explained so many times. He’s the son they never had. And let’s also not forget that they’ve been treating Bill like crap too. They treated him so bad that he was literally begging for their respect less than a year ago.

I agree with you. She knows he wants to settle down with her and keeps putting up this facade that Nicole is “worth the wait” but I just know that it is slowly breaking him down inside that he has to share her with another man and Nicole couldn’t give a single fuck about it. This isn’t what Carlton signed up for when he asked her out that first time.
