Someone emailed me directly instead of using the HR request form. The form exists for a reason. It organizes chaos. When the email came through, my first thought was: boundary violation. I asked if they meant to bypass the system. They said they were in a hurry. I told them urgency shouldn’t replace process. They said it felt faster. It wasn't. It took me almost an hour to mentally recover from this whole ordeal. When I finally found the strength to respond, I told him he'd need submit the request through the proper form.
