Made some progress on the water simulation for my relaxing sandbox game 🌳🏡Island Architect🏡🌳 I added some proper shading finally, and performance is much better, with a priority system for what to update each frame. In the video you can see how it reacts to terrain edits.

Under promise and overdeliver. I think it's tempting when comparing to ask for more than you're comfortable with. This is a bad idea as you will lack confidence and won't stand up to scrutiny. It's better to start where you're comfortable (unless you're known to be too cautious).
