@nextlevelbb MLB at the highest levels are the blockers here. He was a massive critic of MLB's blackouts and other questionable moves by the MLB to "not" grow the game. It was not long after his upped his rhetoric on those issues that his troubles came knocking...owners are scared IMHO

Discussion Trevor Bauer is worth 30 million a year. He is willing to play for $740,000 a year. Over a 29-million-dollar discount. He was accused of terrible things and exonerated. A lot of publications clearly state the accuser lied. He has maintained his innocence. He may have (I don't know) made bad decisions off the field but has not been found guilty. Does he deserve another chance?

If he was speaking for the school, officially, or claimed that, it could change the dynamics. Are you suggesting he truly did that Just being employed by an institution doesn't confer that kind of power, however. A teacher can speak about the local sports team or politics, a local store clerk can do the same. No one thinks that the counter man at McDonald's is speaking for the chain... :)

"I hope you go jump off of an f*****g bridge." That isn't an instruction to harm oneself. I don't love it, but the truth is that, if you don't say the words at your work, your employer needs to be out of your life. The one real world exception would be if he contractually agreed not to do that sort of thing and then did, putting him in breach of contract. Still, once again, so people don't think I'm saying otherwise, employers can fire you for such things. I'm asking them not to. I think we can do better by our own people than that.
