🇬🇧🇳🇬JUST IN - “Nobody Cares When Nigerian Christians Are Slaughtered” ~Kemi Badenoch Blasts Western Silence British Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has delivered a fiery speech condemning Islamic extremism, drawing from her experiences growing up in Nigeria and her long-standing concerns over attacks against Christians in the country. Speaking at a Turning Point UK event in London, Badenoch referenced the 2014 Chibok schoolgirls kidnapping by Boko Haram and linked it to broader global patterns of extremist violence. “Many of you know that I was born in this country, but I grew up in Nigeria,” she said. “And in 2014 I remember when 300 schoolgirls were stolen from their schools by Islamic extremism and they did not return. Only a few returned.” She also referenced the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel. “On October 7th I saw it. The stealing of children, the murder, the massacre of young people at music festivals. We know what this is and we should not pretend,” Badenoch stated. Badenoch, who has repeatedly spoken about violence against Christians in Nigeria and Islamist attacks targeting Christian communities, criticised what she described as fear among some leaders and commentators to openly identify extremist ideology. “There are many people who are afraid to call it what it is. There are many people who are afraid to call it out. I am NOT AFRAID,” she declared. “We do need to stand against extremism. We do need to stand against Islamic extremism.”

🇺🇸🇳🇬 JUST IN: U.S. Congressman Riley Moore has joined House Values Action Team (VAT) Chairman Robert Aderholt and 19 other lawmakers in condemning the Palm Sunday attack on Christians in Jos, Plateau State. In a statement, Moore said the lawmakers are raising alarm over what they described as ongoing violence and persecution of Christians in Nigeria, particularly during the Holy Week period. He noted that the U.S. government has linked continued security assistance to Nigeria to measurable progress in addressing violence in the Middle Belt, referencing bipartisan legislation signed by Donald Trump. Moore stressed that the situation requires urgent action, stating that the killings and persecution must end immediately. The statement follows the March 29, 2026 Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba (Jos North), where gunmen opened fire on civilians. Local residents, church leaders, and advocacy groups report that 27–30+ people were killed in the attack.

Bishop Clarence Chinedu Okonkwo was gruesomely murdered yesterday in his house in Ibuso, Asaba by his driver, who reportedly attacked him with a pestle eloping with his car and phones. The driver Uchenna Nicholas Obiagwu and his were apprehended in Onitsha this morning where they were about selling the Toyota Land cruiser SUV for N10m. 📑: Nwachi victor

Dear Nigerians, PAY ATTENTION! At the ongoing “Africa Forward Summit” in Nairobi, Kenya, Emmanuel Macron addressed the leaders of Africa. William Ruto of Kenya did. The young Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye addressed the Summit as well. I did not see Bola Ahmed Tinubu (who arrived in the early hours of Monday, May 11, 2026, to participate in the Summit, address the crowd). In keeping with APC’s abysmal foreign outings, Bola managed to hold meetings at the sidelines. Nigeria is no longer at the top of the pecking order in Africa. Cyril Ramaphosa’s South Africa leads the continent. Followed by Paul Kagame’s Rwanda, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, then Ghana. Nigeria is left to wallow in rampant obscurity. He lost Mali, Niger, & Burkina Faso to the AES. The ECOWAS bloc became a shadow of itself on Tinubu’s watch. Each time he went abroad with other African leaders, he was always at the back. It’s as if he is shy or intimated by others. And don’t tell me about sitting arrangement. Because Obasanjo was always at the front. Statecraft & gravitas are not something you learn on the job. You either have it or you don’t! OBJ marshaled the rest of the continent like a colossus. Nigeria was the most conspicuous in the room, the most recognizable. OBJ carried the conscience of Africa wherever he went. He was right in his recent interview. “Nigeria has lost its relevance in Africa & around the world. You are no longer “at the table” of global decision-making. Nigeria can no longer influence events beyond its borders.” Your Foreign Policy took a hit in twelve years. Ruto seized the opportunity to market Kenya for sports & tourism when he teased Macron (who raced Kenya’s marathon icon, Kipchoge). It was a light-hearted moment, but one that positioned Kenya for global investments. The inaugural event is co-chaired by Ruto & Macron. Accused of neo-colonial meddling in Africa, France is looking for new frontiers & partnerships on the African continent. The Forward Summit focused on economic transformation, green industrialization, digital innovation, & sustainable development. My hope is that Nigeria will get it right in 2027. Bola Tinubu has wasted everyone’s time. Who will replicate OBJ’s Foreign Policy or better it?
