A PhD isn't a test for intelligence, an IQ Test is. A PhD is just proof of expertise in a particular area . It develops research and critical thinking skills amongst a number of transferable skills but by no means does it make one knowledgeable in everything. So if you insult me for having one, you're just exposing how shallow you are. @jordancreson @mehdirhasan Anything “radical” need to be condemned. Absolutist ideology is not compatible with humanity that’s why I disagree with Ogles. A pluralistic society is the one which shuns radicalism no matter its origin, Islamic, Christian, Jewish or whatever.

@abbey263 @mehdirhasan I think I agree with you. Most of my concern is over radicalized Islam. However, if radical Islamists did find their way into power in our nation, a lot would change and I don't think for the better.

"Jews don't belong in American society." Imagine a sitting member of Congress tweeting that. You can't. Thankfully, it'd never happen. And *if* it did, it'd be the end of their career and the biggest story in America. But Ogles can say this about Muslims without any censure.

@jordancreson @mehdirhasan The problem is that we bunch people together as if Islam is a monolith. There are different variations of interpretations of Islam, there are terrible Muslims and there are Muslims who help build our collective civilization. We can’t blame every Muslim as Ogles is doing.
