It's pre-meditated sporting espionage, which can only have been sanctioned by the clubs player management. Screw him - he knew the stakes...

But the national reaction which has come from it, one man’s mistake - not just loss of his job, but fan bases, media, news etc I’ve never seen a blow up like it. Not even with City’s cheating…I worry about his wellbeing

He chose to observe opponents 72 hours before the game. His choice. Now he has the consequences to deal with.

Even interns sign them. It’s a requirement for staff to be involved in first team games, and this lad definitely was.
