Try not to read too far into a tweet. At 280 characters, I can go in depth to sanitize every argument. I’m sure you can agree.

@abbottnation @RedLineReportt Of course the soldier has to, you know, work a job, serve their country, put their lives at risk… As opposed to a fat, unemployed, SNAP recipient. You make it sound like the soldier receives so much more than them. I think their work is worth more than the extra $178.95.

@ImperfectF14739 @RedLineReportt BAS is not taxed, correct? Isn’t the main purpose of BAS to offset the cost of food? I was just pointing out our 🇺🇸 service members don’t us out-of-pocket, taxable income to pay for BAS Regarding SNAP, I get it. Able college kids scoop it up, even when they have a meal plan 😔

@abbottnation @RedLineReportt BAS is a form of COMPENSATION that military members get for WORKING. That is in no way similar to SNAP, which people get for no work at all. They are in no way similar.

@SenouNatsuru52 @RedLineReportt I don’t disagree with anything you say. My comment was to clarify that MREs do not come out of their take home pay. That was all. Arguing the value & virtues of SNAP is an entirely different matter.

@abbottnation @RedLineReportt BAS has to cover the nutritional needs of a soldier. Soldiers are 9 times out of 10 going to need more than people on SNAP. They are also in a JOB that could get them killed if they have to deploy.

@arshort2 Not a UNC fan, but NC St has been the 11 seed the last 3 years & prior to that had a 5 year hiatus. 8, missed, 1, 11, 6 is exponentially better. Last time NC St was seeded high than 8, was 22 years ago. No comparison, right?

@HinkleHangover There +/- 361 NCAA D1 Basketball schools. Butler is just 1. A national search includes the other 360 schools, Head Coaches, Asst Coaches, ex-coaches & maybe NBA Asst Coaches National includes all 50 states, not just Indiana Thank you for joining my TED Talk...I hope it helps

An agreement has been reached between Miami Head Coach Travis Steele and Butler, per source. Steele will finish the NCAA Tournament with Miami and then will become the head coach at Butler, his Alma Mater.
