Looks like they've updated the Vietnamese Pokédex to use English names instead of Japanese names They've been using romanized Japanese names for a long time, so I wonder how long it'll take for other media to follow suit vn.portal-pokemon.com/play/pokedex/

@TAHK0 This detail is lost in the English text, but the Japanese line says that the Fighting Dojo lost a unification match (統一試合/とういつしあい) for the title of being Saffron Gym, so it wasn't exactly just a random thing

Looks like the Netflix release of season 2 of Pokémon Horizons has been pushed back to May 21, 2026 in Croatia, Greece, and Hungary Maybe they want to wait and release it together with new Croatian, Greek, and Hungarian dubs then (season 1 wasn't dubbed into these languages)

Kitt from Pokémon Champions has two versions of her artwork: one with freckles, one without. This is because an incomplete version (without freckles) was mistakenly released. That version might've been what you saw. Here's both versions to compare, final on the left.

For the English version on a Switch set to English/The Americas, I only had bbwjja and bbween trigger it But with the region set to Europe, bbwpen/pfr/pde/pit/pes were also filtered Let me know if you find anything different with the other language versions

Which filters are applied seems to be based on the console language and region (The Americas, Europe, etc.), not just the game language Here's the test patterns if you want to check for yourself:

Seems like the word filter for Switch FRLG differs a bit from the native Switch Pokémon games - Doesn't filter all the languages at once - Handles punctuation differently - No limit on numerical digits - Handles the whitelist differently

@ArikkHoundoom My current theory for their actual motivations is that re-releasing each version as-is lets them keep the original PEGI 3 rating from 2004, but it'd go up to PEGI 18 if they added anything (like the original Japanese version that was never released there)
