It really hurts to write this. But in case you didn't know, today, 31 March 2026, Sergio “Kun” Agüero suffered a nasty injury during a veterans match between Independiente and River Plate. Aguero got carried off the pitch in visible pain after what turned out to be a ruptured Achilles tendon. Agüero later confirmed the bad news himself. He had an MRI that showed the tear, and he will need surgery tomorrow. It is a tough blow for the him to be frank. Cos he only recently started enjoying some low-key football again after retiring in 2021 because of his heart condition. Now this Achilles injury could end even his fun senior games. At 37, recovery will be long and demanding. Argentine supporters and football lovers around the world are sending him love right now.
