@kimmonismus What’s crazy about the Fable situation is they produced a product so good, the government banned it globally in days. Yet fentanyl is destroying cities and they refuse to do anything about it. Priorities are completely off.

Trump’s perspective on Anthropic as a possible national security risk, as well as his views on AI energy needs and regulatory policy. Let’s hope we’ll get fable 5 soon again.

Added controller support to Hatch 22 today, then backported it to Mayfly, the game I forked it off of. Two games better for one afternoon. The forked-project tax cuts both ways. Sometimes the fix flows back upstream.

Hatch 22 is a cozy roguelike puzzle game about wiring portals across 24 versions of the same room. Each run reshuffles the logic: follow clues, rule out dimensions, find the anomaly, and remember the way home. x.com/abeant/status/…

Hatch 22 is a turn-based puzzle roguelike built around cable routing and escalating chaos. You chase a quantum anomaly across 24 mirror dimensions, wiring reactors to open portals while dodging doppelgängers that copy your moves and crowd the grid. 👇 Full gameplay breakdown below Mirror Worlds: Each room is a parallel dimension where another version of you built the exact same prototype technology. The Doppelgängers ("Hatchmen"): Alternate versions of you from mirror worlds. Every time you or a double jumps dimensions, a new copy is left behind in superposition. They populate the grid, carry cables, and trigger a fatal paradox on contact. Containment & Combos: Wire hatches in rapid succession to chain combos and open portals instantly. Fast-Paced Turn-Based: The world only moves when you step, but your moves act as a ticking clock. Portals open in precise turn phases, creating a fast-paced rhythm that rewards either chess-like planning or high-APM speedrunning. Follow along to watch the prototype unfold. #IndieDev #GameDev #IndieGame #SteamNextFest #RogueLike #TurnBasedGame #PuzzleGame #IndieGameDev #buildinpublic #SoloDev #GameDesign #IndieGames #PCGaming #GamingTwitter #IndieGamesCommunity #roguelite #PixelArt #quantum #multiverse #GodotEngine #Godot #puzzle #gamedev2026 #screenshotsaturday #WishlistWednesday

Each dimension starts blank - you connect cables to uncover their shapes, and a mid-level beacon tells you whether one of them leads to the anomaly. You jump on a hunch; guess wrong and it still counts as a clue. Jump by jump you rule shapes out and close in on the anomaly; piece it together your own way.

One room, 24 dimensions, a cipher that reshuffles every jump; Hatch 22 is designed to make you feel lost, then decode your way home. The map had to serve that. So I swapped the group labels from Roman numerals (I–VI) to six shapes: this gives them equal weight with no implied ranking, and readable even at mini-map size. Old → new on the right.

Hey Matt, I wrote an article that breaks down how to quickly get set up with bookmarks; essentially creating a scaffolding for a bookmark folder workflow. If you have X Pro, it also has a prompt to create a deck with all the columns laid out for each folder. I had success using a browser agent to automatically handle all of this using these prompts (You can use the Claude chrome extension, Codex, Atlas, etc). Let me know what you think. x.com/abeant/status/…

@FragmentLasse The older one feels like everything has more cohesion and is easier to read. The way the edges of the logo are pixelated kind of fits with the rest of the elements. The new one seems to have too much contrast.

Lasse | Pegfinity Steam Demo is out💥
Small Steam capsule update for Pegfinity ⚡ I’ve added a lot of new pegs, balls, baskets and gadgets lately, so the old capsule started to feel outdated. Tried to push the contrast, make it more readable, and give it a bit more impact. What do you think? 🙃 #gamedev #indiedev

Experimenting with perspective in the prototype. Since the board is top-down and the perimeter monitors are rendered on angled bilinear projections, the standing character sprites felt out of place. Testing these new overhead designs to see how they fit. 👇 My design notes below The Perspective Clash: The standing sprites (top row) were orthographic, creating a weird visual clash that made the character look like they were standing upright against a flat overhead map. Overhead Test (bottom row): Drafted this new overhead perspective in Figma. Looking straight down at the head, coat, and gauntlets aligns the character perfectly with the room's true top-down grid. Angled Monitors: The perimeter hatch screens use a custom bilinear quad projection to render monitor HUDs at a skewed, isometric-like angle, blending 2D grid space with a sense of depth. Readability: Shifting to overhead makes directional facing (up, down, side) instantly readable and gives the glowing gauntlets a stronger presence when carrying cables. Which perspective do you think fits the game feel better? Front-Facing (top) or Top Down (bottom)? #IndieDev #GameDev #IndieGame #Figma #PixelArt #RetroGaming #GodotEngine #Godot #GamingCommunity #SoloDev #GameDesign #buildinpublic #PCGaming #IndieGames #GameDevLife #CharacterDesign
