@PepsiAl252865 @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies i'd love to see some studies rebutting my claim, im interested in the subject
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies of course not, but should they have doubts and regrets of transition, i think that therapy should also be provided as well, and not coercing them to go through it should they not want to
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies Better then making people hate the way they are and convincing them they need to accept that, because it doesn't work, it doesn't "convert" anything, it just makes them internalize it
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies thats why trans-affirming therapy is more credible?
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies There's a reason conversion therapy is widely discredited, considered pseudo science and illegal in many places, you know?
English

@PepsiAl252865 @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies half the time the doctors are the ones pushing for transitioners to go with it when they're not physically or mentally fit for the process
doctors in most cases make it worse, if anything
English

@abelgianpoodle @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies Your fears about "haphazard" transitioning, surgery, and treatment making trans people "worse than what they were before" is precisely why doctors are involved. To avoid such a situation from happening.
English

@PepsiAl252865 @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies more harmful than haphazard transitioning, surgery and treatment which makes them worse than what they were before?
English

@abelgianpoodle @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies CONVERSION "therapy" is harmful pseudoscience.
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies societal pressures as opposed to physical-mental harm done from surgery, treatment or transitioning as a whole that arguably damages them more than anything else? are you serious?
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies It literally is. Maybe not the sole reason, but it's definitely the main one, you're delusional if you think they main reason people detransition, hesitate to transition, or even commit suicide isn't related to societal pressures
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies therapy, if transitioning doesnt work, whatever resources is available but if transitioning isn't ideal, then it shouldn't be the only option
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies What's the other option, then? Telling people to "accept the way they are" is just a fancy way of telling people to internalize their own self hatred and accept it, it's literally just conversion therapy, it just makes people hate themselves
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies do you have studies or stats on that, im pretty curious, i'd love to read more into this, there aren't that much good sources out there that cover this
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies Again, the number of suicide attempts in people that had support from friends and family, aka a healthy environment is drastically lower, not much higher than the average person. Yes, the problem is usually external pressure, maybe this case it wasn't idk, but it usually is
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies not sure what to tell you man, transphobes arent the sole problem of trans people's problems but hey, what can you do
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies not really sure about external pressure being a general cause, but it is definitely exaserbated from a pre-existing condition, which i think should be discouraged
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies Yeah, that insecurity is pretty normal, most trans people go through that from what I've seen. Wanting to kill yourself over it, however, is usually because of external pressure
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies because it is random people online? why would you let strangers affect you for what you choose to be?
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies If you can't see how being constantly harassed, mocked and slandered can affect people's psyche and worsens a condition they already have, make the feel insecure, etc just because it's "random people online" you're just stupid idk
English

@PepsiAl252865 @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies why would they not be organic?
wouldn't it be natural, as a trans person to ask yourself if you would fit into the gender? if you look the part? if you, compared to others, feel you are that gender? if you really are that gender?
English

@abelgianpoodle @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies Again. Those doubts aren't organic, they're synthetic.
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies sadly it does get to them at a certain level, but many people transitioning and their insecurities surely don't originate solely from transphobes, but from organic doubts they would have during transition
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies People might shrug them off but overtime it can get to them because it's toxic and exhausting, especially for younger people. It bothers me, and I'm not even trans, of course it can affect them, you can't act like it doesn't just because it's normalized
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies people with a brain would just shrug and move on if some random assholes online tell them to off themselves, even if it's about their own identity because who would GAF about people online?
if anything would affect you, it would be life-changing treatment, not some lolcows
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies Well yeah bro, obviously they will mock and ignore it online, if they show sign of weakness it will get worse because people will know it's working, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't actually affect them irl, use your fucking brain if you have one
English

@PepsiAl252865 @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies really? in general and routinely those childish images are largely pushed back en masse by so much of the trans community on here that they're nearly meaningless to the point that most trans people would just shrug them off
English

@abelgianpoodle @LostMuramasa @piekemoder @reddit_lies Obviously, they don't mock and ignore such images.
English

@LostMuramasa @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies trans people often mock and ignore those childish images, you dont think it could be an outlying issue outside of assholes online?
English

@abelgianpoodle @PepsiAl252865 @piekemoder @reddit_lies Don't you think maybe people constantly saying "you will never he woman" and posting images like the fucking troonjak can worsens someone's disforia, and that's why they feel so insecure towards others?
English
