I’d keep Trembath as the Centre bounces ruckman given his leap, at least until Xerri is back. Dawson to come in for CCJ and ruck around the ground

Herald Sun feature - I think we start with the 3 talls (Larkey, Trembath, Darling). With Zurhaar and Curtis as well who can play taller, and possibly Duursma, it could eventually move to 2 talls and a pseudo 3rd. Not sure Spargo is an automatic selection. Dovaston ✅

@kangamerchant No positives they say: Hardeman, FOS, Dawson, Maley, Harvey…when they are ready they are ready. Compared to 2020 we now have depth and system. Clarkson started further back and has more set back then when at Hawks. Narrative is driven by a AFL, media and general north hate!!

In 2025 Riley Hardeman has solidified himself as an AFL regular in the best side. In 2026 I’d love to see him be entrusted as a half back user more. More kick outs and more of the ball - second to McKercher.

@kangamerchant Defense looks better without Logue. Not sure why maybe because he and Corr are the same type of player. Whatever it is it doesn’t work.

Funnily enough the one game they did go a bit quicker was the Melbourne game, won by ten goals and only conceded 66 points (yes it was only Melbourne but interesting nonetheless).

This is from last September. But so far we are still playing a conservative, uncontested style like the 2nd half of 2024. And what is the defensive system he mentions? Because we are conceding 117 points on average. Who were the players for those ‘roles’ to defend the ground?
