Mint extended 24h ETH gas is spiking right now, and we’re not going to make anyone mint at a bad time. Everyone gets another 24 hours. A few things you’ve been asking, all in one place :point_down: Why does gas feel so high? 😐 Because your mint does much more than a standard NFT mint. In a single transaction, it: :one:Mints your Exquisite ERC-721 fully onchain. The artwork lives permanently inside Ethereum itself not on an IPFS link or a server that can disappear. :two: Registers its ERC-8004 onchain agent identity and binds it to your token. That means an NFT mint, an agent registration, a registry write, and a trustless transfer all executed atomically in one transaction. Either everything succeeds, or everything reverts. A “cheap” mint often just stores a URL pointing to a JPEG that someone must continue paying to host. Here, you’re paying once for permanence. Network gas is also elevated right now, which is exactly why we’re extending the mint. Why is the mint page different from the collection page? 🙃 We use a wrapper contract. A dedicated mint contract handles the payment and minting process, then delivers your Exquisite to the actual collection. The address you interact with during the mint the wrapper is therefore different from the collection where your NFT ultimately lives. That’s by design, not a bug. Why are there two collection pages? 2⃣ For the same reason: • One is the mint and payment contract the wrapper. • The other is the real collection where your Compas settles and trades.
