Major Boost to Civil Aviation in Bihar! The Bihar Cabinet has approved several key proposals to strengthen air connectivity and regional development: 🔹 Raxaul Brownfield Airport – 139 acres of land to be acquired at a cost of ₹207 Cr. Pre-feasibility study & Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) survey completed by AAI. 🔹 Darbhanga Airport – Runway extension as per international standards to facilitate larger aircraft operations. 90 acres of additional land to be acquired at ₹245 Cr. 🔹 Birpur Airport (Supaul) – Cabinet approval for acquisition of 88.83 acres at ₹42.37 Cr for its development under the UDAN scheme. 🔹 Rajgir Greenfield Airport – Pre-feasibility study completed; OLS survey planned for this month to assess technical viability. 🔹 Bhagalpur Greenfield Airport – AAI’s pre-feasibility study team scheduled to visit from 17-19 February to evaluate potential development.
