We believe it’s time for a serious and respectful conversation.
As long-time supporters who have invested money, time, and effort to attend events, run fan projects, and promote your artists, we have to ask:
Does GMMTV truly respect Vietnamese fans?
Our answer is: Yes, but not nearly enough.

1️⃣ Vietnam: A Strong Market with Unmatched Support
In the past three years, Vietnam has hosted more than 30 GMMTV events, consistently drawing strong attendance despite high ticket prices.
We show up. We support. We trend globally. We deliver some of the most professional fan projects across all regions. Our contributions are visible, impactful, and reflect genuine dedication.
Yet, the treatment we receive remains disproportionately underwhelming.
2️⃣ Program Quality Is Declining
•Events are getting shorter, some lasting less than 90 minutes.
•Content feels repetitive and lacks creativity.
•Benefit sessions are rushed and poorly managed, leaving us feeling like an afterthought rather than valued participants.
This decline is disheartening, especially for fans who invest so much to be part of these experiences.
3️⃣ Cultural Appreciation Is Minimal
In other countries, artists are welcomed with traditional ceremonies, flower garlands, and fan messages showcased on stage. The artists even wear the national customs. In Vietnam, these efforts are often reduced to backstage decorations, invisible to both artists and the public.
This difference in treatment sends a clear message: our culture and hospitality are not being valued in the same way.
4️⃣ Fan Contributions Are Undermined
•Food support that we prepare with care is accepted but often left untouched without prior notice, resulting in waste and hurt feelings.
•Merchandise sold in Vietnam is frequently outdated, and staff interactions with fans can be unprofessional.
Such behavior diminishes trust and discourages the very people who are the backbone of these events.
5️⃣ Ticket Pricing Must Reflect Market Realities
Ticket prices have become increasingly unreasonable, especially when many artists are still early in their careers.
If pricing is based on Thai baht, Vietnam’s local purchasing power must also be taken into account. A standardized pricing formula cannot simply be applied across different markets without considering economic context.
6️⃣ This Is a Business Relationship — Not a One-Way Street
It is a mutual exchange. We invest our money, time, and creativity, and in return, we expect fair value, professional standards, and basic respect.
Vietnam is not just another stop on the map. With Cambodia no longer active, Vietnam now stands as one of GMMTV’s primary Southeast Asian base. That should be reflected in how events are planned, executed, and valued.
7️⃣ Respecting Fans Means Respecting Artists
When fans are respected, artists benefit too. A well-treated fanbase fosters long-term loyalty, sustains demand, and creates a more meaningful experience for everyone involved.
Vietnamese fans are loyal but we are NOT to be taken for granted.
