@kyler416 I didn’t have many expectations for this season besides looking forward to some hopeful development from some players , so my discouragement from this decision kinda surprised me

I’m the type of entitled crazy that I’d ask out of my MiLB deal if I were Nelson

It would have been perfectly fine to try and pass Fermin through waivers. That’s some of the scared roster construction that’s bogged down prior admin

Illini going back to the Sweet 16 for the 2nd time in three years. Didn't get there once from 2006 thru 2023. Don't take it for granted.

@abook2 @TheHoopHerald It’s even more asinine when Gard does more with less than damn near any coach alive.

This set from Dusty May is proof that he is playing chess and most of these other coaches are playing checkers

@TheHoopHerald Hoop, Yaxel made a great shot on what looked like a broken play. Mara made a great read on that screen. Wisc guy picked a bad time to get hopelessly lost on D. Dusty is a great coach (I can admit that no matter who I root for) but this play is not proof of “chess vs. checkers”.

@abook2 Adam, it’s really hard to get the Player of the Year in the Big 10 a wide open shot to win the game I’m sure you understand and your negativity has nothing to do with the fact that you root for a different team in the Big 10

@itsAntWright True but those 4 weren’t against great teams. Good teams but not top 3 seed NCAA teams.

This Illinois team can still make a run, they just need to get out of the conference Six of eight losses by four points or less.. four losses in overtime

Virginia is top-10 in offensive rebounding rate and their insistence on sending four to the O-boards is a big reason why. Two things I love, they prioritize taking and rebounding C&S threes. They crash to the "high-side" to maintain their transition defense.

Insane graphic. Many teams didn’t risk it when Yadier Molina was behind the plate

@JWerner247 Brad called DJ over just before the last possession and I’m pretty sure I saw him say “Don’t ever bring that guy back to do one of my games.”

#illin Underwood: Sent 12 calls into Big Ten from the Michigan State game. Will send in the missed 10-second call today. "I don't know what to do with it. ...I'm frustrated as heck. I'm very frustrated because [officiating] changes so much game to game."

@abook2 @jeffborzello Because a player is allowed to stop their momentum at the 3 point line? Not his fault the illinois player didnt stop his momentum or avoid the contact altogether

FINAL: No. 10 Michigan State 85, No. 5 Illinois 82. In OT. Big-time bounceback win for Sparty after back-to-back losses. Jeremy Fears with yet another ridiculous statline: 26 PTS, 15 AST, 2 TO Keaton Wagler struggled: 2-16 FG. Illinois' worst 3PT performance since Jan. 3.

@stramben @jeffborzello You saw the replay. Your guess is as good as mine as to why they didn’t call it. But he tripped him. On purpose. Again.

Not sure any player in America has improved his draft stock or exceeded expectations quite like Kingston Flemings Dude went for 42 and 6 in a road loss to Texas Tech, which got 31 and 12 from JT Toppin
ESPN Insights@ESPNInsights

Kingston Flemings balled OUT 😤 ➡️ 5th freshman in Big 12 history with 40 points in a road game ➡️ Set a new Houston freshman scoring record ➡️ First Houston player with 35 points and 5 assists in a game since Rob McKiver on Feb. 27, 2008
