
Spotify recently extended its partnership with popular American podcaster Joe Rogan in a new multi-year deal aimed at boosting advertising revenue. Rogan's podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," has been exclusively available on Spotify since 2020 and is set to expand to other platforms like Apple, Amazon, and YouTube. Spotify credits the exclusivity for a significant 232% increase in podcast consumption on its platform, contributing to an 80% revenue growth in the past year. The estimated value of Rogan's multi-year deal, rumored to be around $250 million, includes an upfront minimum guarantee and a revenue-sharing agreement based on ad sales. This move aligns with Spotify's strategy to enhance its ad revenue through the Spotify Audience Network, a marketplace for podcast publishers and creators.
