Vance faces an impossible position. Trump values loyalty above almost everything. But the people who made Vance politically viable are now publicly at war with the president's foreign policy. Every day that Tucker calls the Iran war evil and Joe Kent's conspiracy letter circulates, Vance's silence looks like acquiescence — and his occasional distancing looks like disloyalty to Trump. The signal from Trump via Hanson's read is clear: get clean. Distance yourself from the extremists. Iran was necessary, Venezuela was necessary, and we're not abandoning MAGA — but the antisemitic brain rot crowd does not get to define what MAGA means. That's a message Vance needs to hear.
