That's because Anthony Edwards is OUT. Although the sample size is small since Ayo has only been with the Twolves for about a month, in the only two games without Ant, he played 34 and 27 minutes. However, in the 27-minute game, the Twolves blew out the Jazz, which explains the lower minute count. With more minutes comes a higher usage rate for Ayo. Amen Thompson is averaging 36.5 minutes per game over his last 20 outings, and tbh, his hit rate isn’t particularly appealing at 50% (10/20). However, when you narrow it down to a more recent stretch (last 10 games), it becomes clear how involved he’s been in the Rockets’ offense, with his PRA increasing from 29.5 to 33.5 and his usage rate rising from 18.9% to 20.6%. Over the last 10 games, Amen Thompson has cleared the 30.5 PRA line in 80% of them (8/10). In one of the games where he finished with 25 PRA, he didn’t play close to his usual minutes due to a blowout loss against the Nuggets.
