It was great to mark #internationalwomensday with @debs_wb & our new @LDNVictimsComm Andrea Simon today at LabTech – a signatory of the Women’s Night Safety Charter and Camden’s first permanent Safety Hub, carrying out vital work to help to keep women safe at night.

I am concerned to hear of the incident at Manchester Central Mosque last night. I know this will be worrying for Muslim communities, especially during Ramadan, a time of peace and reflection. My thanks go to the volunteers and emergency services for their quick response. We have provided up to £40 million funding for additional security at mosques, Muslim schools and community centres, and will continue to act to ensure communities are able to live without fear.

Jewish and Muslim Funeral and Burial practitioners had a very cordial meeting with Minister for Justice @AlexDaviesJones MP today. We had managed to convey our challenges and aspirations to the minister and her team. Bereaved families should be the centre of all good practices.

The Board of Deputies was pleased to convene a meeting between Minister for Justice @AlexDaviesJones and burial practitioners from the Jewish and Muslim communities to discuss national standards in the coroner service and faith requirements in burial. #OptimisticAlliance
